About Darvina Plante

Darvina’s Yoga Journey

Darvina embarked on her journey as a yoga teacher under the guidance of Erin Pritchard, earning her 200 Hour RYT certification. During her studies, she was introduced to the transformative practice of the "Rocket" and trained with David Kyle in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she delved into the depths of Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa and obtained her 300 Hour Progressive Ashtanga certification. With over 1000 hours of training and a wealth of teaching experience Darvina is now a Level 2 Rocket Mentor and Rocket Teacher Training Facilitator.

For the past seven years, Darvina has been a full-time yoga teacher offering community classes and leading retreats. She has assisted David Kyle on his Rocket Teacher Trainings in Barcelona, Puerto Rico, and London over the past four years. As she prepares to host her own training in London in November, she is filled with excitement to share her love for the practice.

To Darvina, yoga is not only an art form but also a personal dance. She encourages individuals, at any stage of life, to explore their unique canvas and witness their personal magic unfold from within. She takes great joy in being a part of her students' growth and empowering them to surpass their expectations and beliefs, both within and outside of her classes.

Darvina strongly believes that yoga is for everyone, not just a select few. She understands the importance of representation and strives to show aspiring teachers and practitioners that yoga is for them too. She is passionate about providing tools that support healing and growth to all individuals so they can prosper.

 Community

Continuing her mission for inclusion and conscious culture, Darvina founded Cultivating Conversations. This platform is dedicated to creating meaningful change in the yoga industry, by addressing issues of diversity, lip service, and limited access.

Recognizing the ongoing presence of injustice in our society and the world, Darvina believes that true transformation can only occur through compassionate listening and learning from one another.

With a deep commitment to fostering inclusivity, equality, and conscious culture, Darvina continues to advocate for a yoga community that embraces diversity, encourages open dialogue, and supports the well-being of all individuals.
